
PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) - Its official, Penguins defenseman Olli Maatta has been activated from injured reserve.
Maatta has been out since February 11; missing 21 games since suffering an upper-body injury during a 4-1 win against the Flyers in Philadelphia.
Coach Mike Sullivan says Maatta will be a game time decision Friday night when the Nashville Predators face off against the Pens at 7 p.m.
Before his injury Maatta had 1 goal, 12 points and was a plus 7 in 55 games.
The Penguins are trying to win their fourth straight after taking 7 of 8 points on a four game road trip.
The Penguins currently sit in third in the Metropolitan Division, 4 points in front of the Carolina Hurricanes and 2 behind the New York Islanders.
