
PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) - Pirates first baseman Josh Bell missed being a starter in the All-Star Game by less than 2 percent but one player in the organization is defiantly headed to Cleveland for All-Star Week.
It was announced Friday that Triple-A Indianapolis Indians first baseman Will Craig has been selected to National League roster for the All-Star Futures Game.
Craig will be one of 24 former first round picks to play selected to play in the July 7 game at Progressive Field.
Craig, 24-years-old, was picked 16th overall by the Pirates in 2016 out of Wake Forest University.
He’s currently batting .275 with 71 hits, 45 RBI and 16 home runs.
Craig, who spent all of last season in Double-A Altoona. He was named to the Eastern League’s mid and post season All-Star teams and was named the Curve’s MVP.
