The Pittsburgh Pirates and the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank worked together to help local families during the Coronavirus pandemic.
A drive-up food distribution event was held Saturday in parking lots along the North Shore. Each vehicle was packed with three boxes of food by volunteers from the Pirates and the Food Bank, who used social distancing practices while handing out the packages.
"This event is a great example of what we, as a Pittsburgh community, can do together to help our neighbors," said Travis Williams, Pirates President. "We could not be more proud of our employee volunteers and the people of the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank who make this their mission every day."
