PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) - Over 2,000 pounds of perishable food from PPG Paints Arena has been donated to 412 Food Rescue by the Pittsburgh Penguins and Aramark.
Since the NHL paused the season due to the Coronavirus pandemic, the food would have otherwise spoiled.
"We are all trying to do our best to help our community during this difficult time," said David Morehouse, president and CEO of the Penguins. "We know that 412 Food Rescue will do a great job of distributing this food from PPG Paints Arena to those in need."
