PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) - All Primanti Bros. Restaurants and Bar locations in the Pittsburgh area will be offering free french fries to all the fans who come in to eat for Opening Day, which is on Friday, July 24.

There's a catch, however.

If you want to get your free fries, you need to make a purchase and be donning your Pirates gear.

The promotion is in celebration of the long-awaited return of baseball after four months of COVID-19 delays.

"This season might be a little different – but it’s back," said Adam Golomb, chief French Fry officer and vice president of Persistent Pirates Hopefulness, Primanti Bros.

"Nothing feels better than Primanti Bros, the Pirates and a little summer sun."

"Except winning," Golomb added. "That probably feels better."

The celebration is even being extended to the fans who are staying at home.

For those who want to eat at home and place an order, a purchase of $20.20 and the use of the promo code BUCCOFRY is required.

And it’s operating on the honor system.

"For those fans at home – well, we’ll just have to trust you," said Golomb.
