Pittsburgh (93.7 The Fan) - The Steelers will keep veteran guard Ramon Foster, while at the same time they worked out a new contract with Pro Bowl center Maurkice Pouncey.
The 33-year-old Foster was in line to become an unrestricted free agent next week. His two-year contract reportedly is worth $8.25 million. Foster told the Steelers website that it's "awesome to be able to extend my career there."
On Wednesday, the Steelers placed a second-round tender on backup guard B.J. Finney, a restricted free agent. The tender is worth $3.095 million.
Pouncey had one year left on his contract. This three-year deal reportedly could be worth as much as $33 million, which would make him the highest-paid center in the NFL.
