Pittsburgh (93.7 The Fan) - Even without playing a single game in his senior season at West Allegheny High School because of the pandemic, Austin Hendrick went in the first round of the MLB draft.
The Cincinnati Reds selected the left-handed hitting Hendrick with the 12th selection.
Hendrick, who turns 19 next week, was the third high school position player drafted.
MLB Network draft anayst Jonathan Mayo rated Hendrick the best power hitter among the high school eligible players and possibly in the entire draft.
