PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) - Longtime NFL assistant Teryl Austin is joining Mike Tomlin’s staff. The Sharon native and former Pitt defensive back will be a senior defensive assistant for the Steelers.
The 53-year-old Austin will work primarily with the secondary.
Austin was fired by Cincinnati as Bengals defensive coordinator in November.
He’s been with numerous NFL and college teams since the early 1990s.
