PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) - The Steelers have a new receivers coach.
The team announced Tuesday that Ike Hilliard has been hired after spending the last six seasons with Washington.
Hilliard replaces interim coach Ray Sherman, who came out of retirement to be the team’s receivers coach after the sudden passing of Coach Darryl Drake during training camp last season.
Hilliard was also the receivers coach for the Buffalo Bills in 2013 and had his first stint with Washington in 2012.Hilliard was drafted by the New York Giants in the first round of the 1997 draft where he played eight season.
He also played four with Tampa Bay.
In 161 total games, Hilliard had 546 receptions for 6,397 yards and 35 touchdowns.
