PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) - The Steelers officially placed linebacker Ryan Shazier on the Physically Unable to Perform List Monday.
The move will open up a roster spot for the Steelers and Shazier will get paid, making about a half million dollars in 2019.
The Steelers also retain the rights to Shazier.
Shazier has been unable to play since he suffered an injury in Week 13 of the 2017 season that left him temporarily paralyzed.
The move to the PUP list does not come as a surprise. The Pro Bowler hopes to one day take the field again in black and gold.
