PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) – The Pirates are going back to the past with their new uniforms.
The classic "Pittsburgh Script" has returned to the team's away and alternate uniforms for the 2020 season.
The Pittsburgh script was worn by the Pirates in the early to mid-1990s when the team won three division titles in a row.
The team also debuted a new hat they'll wear on the road.
On Twitter the Pirates said "Rewrite the script."
Bell gave fans a preview of one of the jerseys on Thursday when he posted a photo on his Instagram with the caption,
"These new uniforms POP. We'll be releasing a couple more new ones tomorrow (Friday)... What do y'all think of this one?"
The jersey also features the Nike "swoosh" logo, which seems to be the case for all jerseys this season in Major League Baseball.
It doesn't appear there will be any change to the home jersey.
