Ben Cherington said after the trade deadline yesterday that the Pirates looked around for bats or position players, but didn’t come to an agreement or find a deal that they liked. Poni says that he still thinks the day as a whole was a win for the team. Joel Nesbitt said that the Pirates should have made a trade for a right-handed bat to make the day perfect, which the guys agree with.
Jack Hillgrove from WTOV joined the show. Jack says that the story of the day at camp was chippy-ness. He said that Sebastian Joseph-Day and Mason McCormick go into a scuffle, and so did DK Metcalf and Keeanu Benton, somehow. Hillgrove says that it is going to be an uphill battle for Max Iheanachor to start week 1, as Dylan Cook has looked good so far in camp.
