The Fan Morning Show reported last week that Aaron Rodgers was coming into Pittsburgh, with the expectation being he would meet with the Steelers and possibly get a new deal done to return for one more year as the starting quarterback.
While it’s still believed that Rodgers is in Pittsburgh, reporters like Fan Steelers insider Mark Kaboly, of the Pat McAfee Show says they don’t believe he met with the Steelers at their South Side facility.
So, why is/was Rodgers in town?
According to a rumor from 93.7 The Fan’s Andrew Fillipponi, “he was in town to play some golf.”
“Club at Nevillewood? Nemacolin? Who knows. Golf was purportedly on the agenda.”
With Rodgers, nothing is ever certain until you see it for yourself, but he could be staying in town to eventually get a deal done sometime this week before OTAs start on Monday, May 18.
We’ll just have to wait and see.
