CLEVELAND (92.3 The Fan) – Flacco fever is back.

Joe Flacco is returning to the Browns the team announced Friday morning.

Flacco receives a one-year deal worth up to $13 million with incentives. ESPN’s Adam Schefter first reported the agreement.

Flacco spent last season in Indianapolis where he started six of eight games he appeared in for the Colts and passed for 1,761 yards and 12 touchdowns and seven interceptions.

Flacco helped lead the Browns to the playoffs at the end of the 2023 season that saw him win four of five regular season starts after sitting at home.

Flacco became the first Browns player to throw for 300 yards in four consecutive games and he completed 60.3% of his passes for 1,616 yards with 13 touchdowns and 8 interceptions for Cleveland to win NFL Comeback Player of the Year.

Flacco will likely be the team’s Week 1 starter with Kenny Pickett, acquired from the Eagles last month, serving as the No. 2.

The signing of Flacco likely takes Shedeur Sanders out of consideration with the No. 2 pick in the Draft.

Originally a first-round pick by Baltimore in 2008, Flacco has appeared in 196 games with 191 starts in stints with the Ravens (2008-18), Broncos (2019), Jets (2020-22), Browns (2023) and Colts (2024).

Over his 17-year career, Flacco has completed 61.7% of his passes for 45,697 yards with 257 touchdowns and 162 interceptions. Flacco led the Ravens to a victory in Super Bowl XLVII, while being named the Super Bowl MVP.
