CLEVELAND, Ohio (92.3 The Fan) – With the season circling the drain at 1-5 let the fire sale begin.
The Browns agreed to trade receiver Amari Cooper to the Buffalo Bills Tuesday afternoon.
The trade includes Cooper and 2025 sixth round pick going to the Bills for a 2025 third round pick and a 2026 seventh round selection.
The final year of Cooper’s contract, worth $20 million, was guaranteed by the Browns prior to training camp and bonus incentives added to it which prevented a camp holdout.
Cooper who has 24 catches for 250 yards through six games, has struggled early this season and has been plagued by dropped passes and a lack of chemistry with quarterback Deshaun Watson.
Cooper was acquired from Dallas in March of 2022 and he became the first receiver in franchise history to tally back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons with 1,160 yards and nine touchdowns in 2022 as well as 1,250 yards and five touchdowns in 2023.
