Now, the winner of that prize claims the check he received, for $14,822 from the “Washington Football Team Charitable Foundation” bounced.

Drew told The Team 980’s Russell & Medhurst he got the check late last week. A photo he provided to Team 980 shows a FedEx Priority Overnight shipping container addressed to Drew from the Washington Commanders' Ashburn headquarters dated Oct. 13.

“I’m kinda disappointed,” Drew said.

Drew, a season ticket holder, said he spoke to his ticket rep earlier this morning after he realized the check had bounced and spoke to his bank, who put him in contact with somebody from the team who was working to rectify the issue “rather quickly.”

Later on Wednesday, a spokesperson for the Commanders said in a statement the issue was due to a "bank error" and they have resent the money.

"We've reached out to the fan and sent an electronic payment directly to his account," the statement read. "It was a bank error, and we have reached out to the bank to determine what happened, and to ensure it doesn't happen again."
