PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) – Multiple reports from various NFL insiders Tuesday afternoon that John Harbaugh is out as the Ravens head coach two days after a missed field goal led to a 26-24 loss to the Steelers, ending Baltimore’s season.

The Ravens had started the season 1-5 only to climb back into first place for a couple of days before Thanksgiving and a win a Green Bay gave them the opportunity to win the division and get in the playoffs in Pittsburgh.

It was said before the matchup Sunday night the loser of the Steelers-Ravens game might fire its head coach and indeed Harbaugh paid the price.

Next to Mike Tomlin with 19 years, Harbaugh was the NFL’s longest tenured active coach. He finished his 18th season 180-113, the 14th most regular season wins in NFL history. The 62-year-old was 13-11 in the postseason with one Super Bowl championship, beating his brother and the 49ers.

Two-time MVP quarterback Lamar Jackson missed four games and was hobbled in others with back issues as part of the Ravens problems in 2025. Offensive coordinator Todd Monken will likely interview for the Browns head coaching job and could be a candidate to replace Harbaugh, although questions about offensive play-calling could make that unlikely.
