LeBron James is one of the most respected athletes not just in the NBA but in the entire sports world. Despite his historic and legendary career, 'The King' still feels like people take his scoring ability for granted.
During a new episode of his show 'The Shop,' James expressed his frustrations with not being mentioned amongst the best scorers in NBA history.
“When they talk about the best scorers of all time, they never mention my name,” James said at the 18:10 minute mark of the episode. “It pisses me off.”
James notes that while it 'pisses him off' about not being viewed alongside the Jordan's or the Kareem's of the world, James loves getting his teammates involved rather than being a score-first player.
“I’m not like a natural scorer,” James explained. “I love getting my guys involved, I’ve always been that way.”
For anyone who doesn't think James is amongst the best scorers in league history, in his 19th season in L.A., James is averaging nearly 29 ppg.
Despite the struggle this season, James currently sits at third on the league's all-time scoring list, right behind Kareem and Karl Malone. It's just a matter of time until James passes Kareem, but the question that most NBA fans are wondering is whether James' Lakers can manage to make the postseason.
