LeBron James is sitting at home watching the NBA playoffs for the first time in many years. While contemplating his thoughts on Friday night, James vowed that he will never miss the postseason during the remainder of his career.

Despite the cross-town rival Los Angeles Clipper making the play-in tournament in wake of having their roster depleted due to a multitude of injuries and COVID, the Lakers finished outside the top 10 in the West (at 33-49). James, as well as the rest of the roster, received a ton of criticism due to the team's astronomical expectations to win the conference.

The four-time MVP is nearing his 20th season in the NBA and believes he can hold off father time long enough to continue to be productive enough to lead or play on a playoff-bound team.

“I can/will NOT miss the post season again for my career!" James said on Twitter Friday evening. "This s*** HURT. Ok back to watching these games."

Fournatley for James, he hasn't shown too many signs of aging, having an excellent individual season this year, averaging 30.3 points, 8.2 rebounds and 6.2 assists per game.

While LeBron did what he was expected to do, the rest of the roster surrounding him faced a number of issues. Russell Westbrook has struggled on both ends of the ball, Anthony Davis has been like glass and has been injured during the bulk of the year, and inconsistent performances from role players leading to an inability to form any sort of chemistry all year.

The Lakers ended their regular season by firing head coach Frank Vogel immediately after L.A. won their final game of the season against the Denver Nuggets on April 10 leading to much speculation as to who will be the next head coach.

While we can point out all the negatives regarding the Lakers season, fans can at least be positive about James seems to have that same spark to compete and win titles like he's had in the past.
