Pat McAfee returns home to donate to Plum athletics

PITTSBURGH (93.7 the Fan) NFL kicker turned sports talk superstar Pat McAfee hasn't forgotten where he comes from.

The Plum High School graduate has made a $2 million donation to his alma mater to help support sports in the community.


McAfee graduated from Plum in 2005 and went on to kick for West Virginia University football team for four years.

In 2009 he was drafted to the NFL by the Indianapolis Colts where he would play in 127 games over eight seasons.

With the Colts, McAfee punted and kicked his way to a Super Bowl in 2009 and two Pro Bowls (2014 and 2016).

Since retirement McAfee has become one of the most well known sports commentators in the country.

The Pat McAfee show broadcasts every Monday through Friday while McAfee himself has also joined the WWE as a commentator for SmackDown.

McAfee returned home to Plum on Thursday to give his donation in attempts to keep sports alive in his home community.
