PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) - Penn State's dynamic running back Journey Brown could miss the 2020 season as he receives treatment for an undisclosed medical condition.
"Journey Brown is being treated for a medical condition discovered during the offseason and will potentially miss the 2020 football season," Penn State said in a statement released late Monday.
Brown, a redshirt junior from Meadville, became the Nittany Lions featured back in the second half of last season. His 202 yards rushing in the Cotton Bowl win over Memphis set a Penn State bowl record. He finished last season with 890 yards and 12 touchdowns.
Coach James Franklin will meet with reporters today to preview Saturday's season opening game at Indiana.
