PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) As the shortened MLB season nears an end for the Pittsburgh Pirates, they will play their final five games without Cole Tucker and Kevin Newman.
Tucker has been recovering from a concussion and is expected to remain out for the remainder of the 2020 season.
Tucker will be finishing the 2020 season with 37 games played with 24 hits for a .220 batting average.
Newman was placed on the injured list after being hit in the leg by a pitch, suffering a contusion to the peroneal nerve in his knee.
Newman finishes the season with 35 hits in 44 games and a .224 batting average.
