PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) – Gaining a couple of potentially big pieces for next year's team, the Pitt Panthers lost a four-star recruit in the transfer portal on Wednesday.
Defensive lineman, potential linebacker, Naquan Brown out of Virginia has entered the portal leaving Pitt after just a true freshman season.
The 6'3" Brown essentially hasn't played in two years. Wasn't on the field in 2021 for Pitt and sat out his last year of high school due to COVID-19. Brown had 26 sacks in his final two high school seasons, his sophomore and junior seasons.
A few days ago, Panthers defensive lineman Deslin Alexandre announced his return to school. It's a group already returning Habakkuk Baldonado, John Morgan, Dayon Hayes, Dorien Ford, Bam Brima, Elliot Donald, Nahki Johnson and others.
