Pitt showed the love to special guest Damar Hamlin in win

Pitt Football Twitter

There was a special guest in attendance last night in Pitt's win over Georgia Tech.

Former Panthers defensive back and current Buffalo Bill Damar Hamlin was courtside in the Peterson Events Center last night.

It was his first trip back to his alma mater since his terrifying cardiac arrest suffered in an NFL game this past season.

He was greeted with a standing ovation from the Pitt crowd, while they displayed the banner they used to hold for him after his injury.

Hamlin is also a McKees Rocks native and attended Central Catholic High School. He was drafted by the Bills in the 2021 draft after five seasons at Pitt.

In his time at Pitt he accumulated 290 tackles and 6 interceptions in 48 games under coach Narduzzi.

He proved to be a good luck charm for the Panthers as they won a hard fought game against GT 76-68.
