Rams select Pitt receiver Konata Mumpfield

PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) – He transferred to Pitt after his freshman season, now Konata Mumpfield is moving to Los Angeles. The Rams selecting the Panthers receiver in the seventh round on Saturday.

A captain his senior season, the 6’1”, 185-pounder was Honorable Mention All-ACC after 52 receptions for 813 yards (15.6 average) and five touchdowns. He was the ACC Wide Receiver of the Week after a pair of touchdowns against Cincinnati.

In three seasons with the Panthers, 36 games, 154 receptions, 1,940 yards and 11 touchdowns.

“I don’t have too much pressure.” Mumpfield said after the Pitt Pro Day. “I always just give it to God. I put the work in during the week. I prepare as much as I can, after that, I just give it to God. It’s pretty easy once you have that feeling that He has control. I feel I do well under the bright lights.”
