PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) – They were a great tandem at Pitt and now linebacker SirVocea Dennis stays with Calijah Kancey. The Panthers linebacker picked by the Tampa Bay Bucs in the fifth round of the NFL Draft Saturday.
A First-Team All-ACC middle linebacker in 2022 (three times selected all conference), Pro Football Focus selected him as a Third-Team All-American. The 6’1”, 230-pounder had a 41” vertical jump at the Pitt Pro Day and impressed scouts with his 40-time, which they don’t officially release. Dennis led Pitt in tackles, forced fumbles, second in tackles for loss. Dennis intercepted a shovel pass in 2021 leading to an upset win over Clemson. The New York native finished his college career with 233 tackles in three years as a starter, 36 tackles for loss, 15 sacks, two picks and two forced fumbles.
