The first Penguins goalie in history to record a shutout in his first career start with the team has signed a deal with the back-to-back Stanley Cup Champion Tampa Bay Lightning.
Maxime Lagace' gets a one-year deal with Tampa after spending most of last season on the Pens' taxi squad.
Lagace's 29 saves in the final regular season game with the Penguins winning 1-0 against the Buffalo Sabres.
With backup goalie Casey DeSmith injured, Lagace' backed up Tristan Jarry in the playoffs.
Coach Mike Sullivan didn't give Lagace' any action in the postseason, even with Jarry's struggles and was arguably the main reason the Penguins were once again unable to get out of the first round.
