The Penguins have reduced their roster to 30 players ahead of their final preseason game.
Forwards Kasper Bjorkqvist, Filip Hallander, Nathan Legarea and Sam Poulin have all been re-assigned to the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins.
Poulin was drafted by the Penguins in the first round of the 2019 NHL Draft.
The Penguins also re-assigned defenseman P.O. Joseph to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton.
Joseph was part of the deal that sent Phil Kessel to the Arizona Coyotes.
The team also sent forwards Jonathan Gruden and Valtteri Puustinen as well as defensemen Niclas Almari and Taylor Fedun to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton.
The Penguins final preseason game is Saturday at 7 p.m. in Columbus against the Blue Jackets.
They open the regular season, without Sidney Crosby or Evgeni Malkin, on Tuesday against the defending Stanley Cup Champion Lightning in Tampa.
