Evgeni Malkin will not play Tuesday night against the Colorado Avalanche.
The team announced Tuesday morning that Malkin is “day-to-day” with an upper-body injury.
Malkin has played four games since returning from a five-game suspension.
He has two goals and three assists since returning to the lineup.
The 39-year-old has 52 points this season (15 goals, 37 assists) over 50 games this season.
Malkin had two goals and one assist last week in Colorado in a 7-2 win against the Avs.
The Penguins take host Colorado Tuesday night at 7 p.m. at PPG Paints Arena.
