PITTSBURGH (93.7 the Fan) The Pittsburgh Penguins' COVID issues have continued, now stretching behind the bench.
Penguins head coach Mike Sullivan will be unavailable for Thursday nights game against the Philadelphia Flyers due to COVID protocol.
Assistant coach Todd Reirden will take over head coaching duties in Sullivan's absence.
Sullivan joins players Sidney Crosby, Marcus Pettersson, Chad Ruhwedel, and Brian Dumoulin who are all missing due to COVID protocol.
At the moment it is unknown if Kris Letang will be returning from the protocol.
Jeff Carter and Jake Guetnzel have already missed time this season due to COVID protocol.
