93.7 The Fan (PITTSBURGH) - The Penguins goalie had a pretty great Sunday after his hometown NFL team won and he got a shutout against the Stanley Cup champs.
Alex Nedeljkovic is from Parma Ohio and is a Cleveland Browns fan. He put on his Myles Garrett jersey after the Penguins 3-0 win over the Vegas Golden Knights to show everyone what NFL team he roots for. Nedeljkovic said he skipped his normal pregame nap to have the game on.
"I didn't really pregame nap today," said Nedeljkovic. "I had the game on in my car on my way here, maybe I had a little longer coffee break beforehand too."
After he saw the Browns win against the Steelers, Nedeljkovic shutout the defending Stanley Cup champions in a 3-0 Penguins win. It's his first shutout of the 2023 season as he made 38 saves on net.
When asked about Dorian Thompson Robinson's performance against the Steelers, he liked what he saw.
"He looked good today, he looked good. I think he will get some more confidence the more he plays, the defense once again did a great job. It was a good game, it was a good game," said Nedeljkovic.
