The Penguins have announced the hiring of three new broadcasters who will appear on the recently rebranded SportsNet Pittsburgh.
Formerly AT&T SportsNet Pittsburgh, the station is owned by the Pittsburgh Penguins and will be operated by NESN, has hired Josh Getzoff, Hailey Hunter and Dan Potash.
Getzoff will be the team’s play-by=play announcer on TV, transitioning from radio broadcasters the past few years, after Mike Lange retired.
Hunter will be the ringside reporter for the Penguins, similar to what Potash did for the team for nearly 20 years.
Hunter’s father, Tim Hrynewich, played 55 games for the Penguins in the early 1980s.
She most recently covered golf for NBC Sports’ Golf Channel.
Potash will transition to studio host for the Penguins broadcasts which now feature and hour-long pre and postgame.
The first game on SportsNet Pittsburgh will be a preseason game against the Ottawa Senators on October 2 in Nova Scotia.
Studio and in-game analysts will be announced at a later date.
Former Penguin Bob Errey will not return to do color commentating this season.
