Ron Hextall has confirmed the Penguins have announced the signing of Forward Drake Caggiula on a one –year deal.
The deal is a two-way contract with an average value of $750,000 at the NHL level. Caggiula spent this past season between the AHL and NHL with the Buffalo Sabers organization.
He's played a total of 278 NHL games accumulating 46 goals, 45 assists and 91 points with a total of four teams.
The right winder should add some solid depth to both Pittsburgh and Wilkes-Barre/Scranton for next season as Hextall continues to beef up the organization and rotation today.
