
The Pegnuins came into the 2025 NHL draft with back to back picks at 11 and 12. Kyle Dubas turned pick 12 into two more first rounders, as he traded the pick to the Flyers for the 22nd and 31st picks.
Pittsburgh selected Benjamin Kindel with the 11th pick. Kindel, an 18-year old Center played for the Calgary Hitmen in the Western Hockey League. In 65 games, he scored 35 goals, tallied 64 assits and had 99 points.
He helped Canada in the IHF U18 World Championship with two assits in their gold medal win over Sweden. He played in 5 games and had 1 goal and 6 assists in the World Juniors.
The Penguins will select two more first round picks and then another ten picks on Saturday in rounds 2-7.
