Hey, that guy looked familiar.

Former Pirates infielder Jung Ho Kang was spotting in the stand during the Pirates victory against the Padres in San Diego last night.

Kang had an impressive snag, catching a foul ball one-handed.

On AT&T Sportsnet, Greg Brown jokingly said, “Look at this fan, reach out, looks like he’s played this game before.”

Kang was visiting with his old teammate Andrew McCutchen before the game with Robby Incmikoski catching this moment.

Kang burst onto the scene with the Pirates in 2015. He hit .287 with 15 home runs, 58 RBI and an OPS of .816 over 126 games.

Kang’s 2015 season was cut short when he suffered a serious knee injury, making a double play against the Cubs in September.

Cubs baserunner Chris Coghlan attempted to break up the double play by sliding into Kang.

Kang would return in May 2016. He hit .255 that season with 21 home runs and 62 RBI over 103 games.

After a DUI in South Korea, Kang missed most of the next two seasons, playing in only three games at the end of the 2018 season.

In 2019, Kang was named the Pirates starting third baseman but was DFA’d in early August. He was hitting only .169.

won the game 8-4.
