The Pirates have made a couple moves ahead of Tuesday night’s game against the Atlanta Braves.

The Pirates have called up relief pitcher Colin Selby from Triple-A and right-handed pitcher Thomas Hatch, who was claimed off waivers from Toronto on Sunday.

Selby has a 3.86 ERA so far this season in 29 appearances with 41 strikes and 22 walks.

He was taken by the Pirates in the 16th round of the 2018 draft and underwent Tommy John surgery in March 2020.

Hatch has a 4.26 ERA in the MLB this season with 10 strike outs and five walks. Players were hitting .357 against him.

To make room on the roster, RHP Osvaldo Bido was optioned to Triple-A Indianapolis.

Bido was 2-2 for the Pirates over eight starts with an ERA of 5.35. He gave up four runs (three earned) over four innings Monday night against the Braves, though he did look impressive early.

RHP Yerry De Los Santos was also sent to Indianapolis. He was 1-1 with a 3.33 ERA over 22 games striking out 18 over 24.1 innings.
