Pittsburgh gives up minor league left-handed pitcher Nicolas Carreno
Walker was recently designated for assignment by New York.
The 29-year-old has a 5.11 ERA this season, appearing in 10 games, pitching 12.1 innings.
He last pitched on June 1 in the Majors.
Walker has a 6.45 career ERA over two seasons and 24 games.
