Major League Baseball and the Pittsburgh Pirates have announced start times for 2021 regular season games as well as season ticket holders getting first priority when fans are allowed back in the stands.
Game times will be different than in years past.
April, May and September home games will begin at 6:35 p.m. instead of 7:05 p.m. Games in June, July and August will start at the customary 7:05.
Sunday home games will start at 1:05 p.m. instead of the usual 1:35 p.m.
While seating capacity at PNC Park is still currently unknown, the Pirates say that Season Ticket Holders will be the first welcomed back inside the ballpark "Pirates Season Ticket Holders will receive priority access for all games when gates reopen to the public next season," the team said a statement.
The first regular season game of the 2021 campaign is scheduled for Thursday, April 1 in Chicago against the Cubs. First pitch is scheduled for 2:20 p.m. with the home opener scheduled for Thursday, April 8 at 1:35 p.m. That game is also against the Cubs.
