Pirates Spring Training in Bradenton this year will be a least somewhat getting back to normal.
The team announced Monday that they plan to host fans at LECOM Park for Spring Training games this year.
The Bucs are planning to host fans at 25 percent capacity, “with tickets being made available in seating pod allotments of two and four per transactions.”
Arrangements are being made in accordance with health and safety protocols.
The first wave of tickets will be made available to Pirates Spring Training Season Ticket Holders and corporate partners.
All tickets in that wave will be sold online only, beginning February 3 at 10 a.m. through Sunday, February 7.
Any remaining tickets will be made available to the general public beginning on Monday, February 15 at 10 a.m. on the Pirates’ website.
The Pirates will host 17 games at LECOM this spring with the first game scheduled for February 28 against Atlanta.
Strict health and safety guidelines must be followed while in the ball park and face coverings must be worn at all times.
No word yet on if and fans will be allowed back in PNC Park when the Pirates play the home opener on April 8 against the Chicago Cubs.
