General tickets to see the Pirates this season at PNC Park go on sale Tuesday morning after being delayed a week due to changing COVID restrictions.
Last week Pennsylvania state officials announced that beginning April 4, venues regardless of size can operate at 50 percent capacity.
But due to current social distance guidelines of six feet, Pirates president Travis Williams says they will be operating at 25 percent capacity at the beginning of the season, to remain compliant with COVID rules.
With capacity numbers likely chaning over the next weeks and months, only tickets for the first two homestands will go on sale Tuesday morning.
That includes the first 12 games of the season, beginning with the Home Opener on April 8 against the Chicago Cubs at 1:35p.m.
Tickets will be sold to create "pods" throughout the stadium with tickets of two or four per transaction. Single ticket seating will be "very limited."
Tickets can be purchases beginning at 10 a.m. on Tuesday by calling 1-800-BUY-BUCS or online.
