Aaron Rodgers won't need surgery, status for Bears game still 'TBD'

Mike Tomlin says Rodgers won't practice Wednesday but is NOT ruled out for Sunday

According to the NFL Network, Aaron Rodgers will not need surgery on his broken left wrist.

NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reports that the Steelers QB “underwent further tests Monday that confirmed he won’t need surgery on his fractured left wrist.”

Pelissero, along with Ian Rapoport, also say that Rodgers wants to play in Chicago on Sunday against the Bears, “but doctors must clear him and his status moving forward is TBD.”

Rodgers was knocked out of the game on Sunday at the end of the first half and Mason Rudolph played the entire second half.

The 4-time MVP was seen with his left hand in his pocket after the game, congratulating teammates after the 34-12 win against Cincinnati.

Rodgers was hit a couple of times during the final drive of the first half, two of those illegally. The 41-year-old has been durable, playing 99% of the snaps. In the game, Rodgers was 9-15 for 116 yards and a touchdown to Kenneth Gainwell.
