Two prospects to represent Pirates at MLB All-Star Futures Game

PITTSBURGH (93.7 the Fan) The MLB has announced the rosters for the 2022 All-Star Futures Game and a pair of Pittsburgh Pirates prospects will represent the National League.

Catcher Henry Davis and pitcher Mike Burrows will head to Los Angeles to play in the game set to take place on July 16.


Former first overall pick Davis is one of four catchers on the National League roster and has been all over the Pirates system this year.

In 149 at-bats across minor league baseball, Davis is hitting .268 with seven home runs and 31 RBIs.

Davis is currently playing with the Double-A Altoona Curve.

Burrows was recently called up to Triple-A Indianapolis Indians after starting the year with the Curve.

In Double-A, Burrows holds a 4-2 record with a 2.94 ERA.

First pitch of the Futures Game is set for 4:00 p.m.
