With the acquisitions of Miguel Andujar and Jose Godoy, Michael Chavis and Greg Allen were the two to lose their spots for the final 9 games of the season.
Chavis, who spent a majority of his time manning down first base for the Bucs this season, was more of a shock as a corresponding move.

A former first round pick by the Boston Red Sox whom they traded for last year, Chavis slashed .229/.265/.389 with 14 homeruns and 49 RBIs including two walk-off singles.
Though his numbers didn’t pop throughout his 129 games this season, Chavis found himself being a fan favorite this year for the lack luster Pirates.
He had been splitting time with Zack Collins over the past couple of series at first base, who will continue to see more time along with Andujar possibly.
Allen had been having an even less impressive season putting up a slash of .186/.260/.271 with 2 homeruns and 8 RBIs through 46 games this season.
Coming into the season Allen was expected to be the Pirates starting centerfielder before he was derailed with a hamstring injury that saw him out until late July.
But after not showing much in his return, the team opts to give their young players in Jack Suwinski, Diego Castillo, and Cal Mitchell the remaining at-bats this season.
