PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) – The big unknown the entire offseason, Aaron Rodgers signed his Steelers contract Monday, on the first team of team voluntary workouts. Reportedly it will be worth between $22-23 million and with incentives can be $25 million.
Last year Rodgers waited until June 13 to officially sign last season and the date this year is May 18.
It’s unknown how much the 42-year-old quarterback will participate in offseason activities. The mandatory mini-camp doesn’t start until the first week of June and the team likely wants an opportunity to get more looks at the pair of young quarterbacks (Will Howard and Drew Allar).
In his first season with the Steelers, Rodgers went 10-7 (including the postseason) with 3,468 yards with 24 touchdowns and eight interceptions.
