A look at the history of Ben Roethlisberger against the Ravens.
The First
2004-Roethlisberger can actually thank the Ravens for starting his career, Baltimore injured starter Tommy Maddox in the game in September. Roethlisberger threw his first two touchdown passes of his career and absorbed the first of many Terrell Suggs sacks.
Ben would come back the day after Christmas to get his first Ravens win, 20-7 throwing for a pair of touchdowns with no picks
The Playoffs
January 18, 2009, part of the 2008 season, Troy Polamalu with a pick 6, but Roethlisberger threw a 65-yard touchdown pass to Santonio Holmes, a prelude to a bigger pass he would throw to Holmes the next game, to win 23-14 and a 1st
home AFC Championship victory since 1995 and second at home since 1979.
January 15, 2011, Roethlisberger led a fourth quarter comeback for a 31-24 win at home converting a 3rd and 10 and 3rd and 19-that play the 58-yard pass to Antonio Brown that he pinned on the side of his helmet.
The Nose
2010 in Baltimore on the first series of the game, Suggs broke Ben Roethlisberger's nose. Ben would come to the sideline and ask Mike Tomlin how he looked. He would remain in the game, also playing with a sprained right foot, to throw a nine-yard TD to Isaac Redman with 2:51 left for a 13-10 win.
Immaculate Extension
2016-Christmas Day at home a 31-27 win—4 lead changes in 4th qtr, Antonio Brown's 'immaculate extension' for 4 yd TD with 9 seconds left after Ravens took lead with 1:18 to play. Ben 8 of 8 on final drive (when dismissing spikes to stop clock).
The Other Extension
2008 in Baltimore-Steelers scored their only touchdown of the game with 43 seconds left as on third down, Roethlisberger hit Santonio Holmes in the middle of the field and he had also had an amazing extension of the ball, just crossing the goal line for the only touchdown of the game in a 13-9 win
The First Comeback
2005 the first comeback win over the Ravens after Baltimore took the lead with 3:21 left, Roethlisberger led a drive ending in a Jeff Reed game-winning field goal in a 19-17 decision
The Bounce Back
After a pair of blowout losses in 2006 to the Ravens, Roethlisberger and the Steelers scored 35 points in the first half of the first matchup of 2007. Roethlisberger 13 of 16 for 209 yards and FIVE touchdowns.
6 Pack
Steelers were blown out at the Ravens earlier in the 2014 season, Roethlisberger would throw for SIX touchdowns and 340 yards in a 43-23 win at home.
500 in a comeback
Ben finished off the sweep of the Ravens in 2017 throwing for 506 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Roethlisberger led the Steelers to 190 yards in the fourth quarter and eventual Chris Boswell game-winning field goal with 46 seconds left, final 39-38.
Four straight
Coming into the game on Sunday, Roethlisberger has won four straight games against the Ravens including a fourth quarter comeback in Baltimore concluding with an eight-yard touchdown pass to Chase Claypool. Roethlisberger also hit Diontae Johnson for a pair of second half touchdowns, the last with 1:48 left in the game as the Steelers won 20-19 last month at Heinz Field.
