It was only two seasons ago that Jalen Ramsey was integral part of a Super Bowl winning Rams team.
Now amid a retool, the 5-12 Rams are looking to move the 28-year-old star cornerback. Ramsey still has three years of control left, after signing a five-year extension in 2020.
According to BetOnline, the Raiders, Lions, and Bengals are the front runners to land Ramsey. However, some bettors are putting the Steelers up there alongside the Vikings, Texans, and Patriots at +1200 (12/1) to land him.
Landing the six-time Pro Bowler on the Steelers would be huge for the team that's focusing on improving the defensive side of their game.
It does seem like an unlikely move the Steelers as they aren't looking to take on that kind of cap hit with Jalen being owed $30,000,000 over the next two seasons.
Draft capital is also an issue of making this deal possible.
The team is already focusing heavily on the defensive assets available in the draft and are more likely to address their needs there.
Jalen Ramsey is set to be a hot commodity for many teams vying for a deal, it just doesn't seem to be in the cards for the Steelers as much fun as that would be.
