PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) — On Tuesday, Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski, along with two other coaches and two players, tested positive for COVID-19.

While he can virtually be involved in the team’s preparation, he cannot be on the sidelines for the game.

Stefanski, who calls out the plays for the Browns offense, will be replaced with Pitt alum and Cleveland offensive coordinator Alex Van Pelt.

“There’s something to be said about that kind of comfort blanket, there’s something to be said about that guy that you have that relationship with that’s calling the plays,” said Roethlisberger. “Now I don’t know up there how much their OC is involved in those kind of things, some places their OC, their quarterbacks coach all those guys kind of do everything and then the play-caller whoever it is, just kind of calls it in.”

While Stefanski can’t be on the sidelines he says he is doing everything he can to prepare his team for Sunday.
