But Baltimore?

In the land of black and purple, there was also plenty of black and gold inside M&T Bank Stadium.

93.7 The Fan’s Ron Cook said on Monday he had never seem more Steelers fans in Baltimore.

The fans could really be heard on the Steelers touchdown drive late in the fourth quarter. When quarterback Ben Roethlisberger connected with Pat Freiermuth for a first down near the Ravens 5-yard line, a large number of people could be heard yelling “MUUUUTH.”

Terrible Towels and signs thanks Roethlisberger for his career were caught on camera throughout the game.

93.7 The Fan’s Jeff Hathhorn said that the crowd didn’t seem as “bitter” as it normally does.

Hathhorn guesses that the rainy weather along with it likely being Roethlisberger’s final game ever, Ravens fans, while not fans of Roethlisberger in anyway, respect him and is the last tie to those great Steelers/Ravens games that featured Ed Reed, Terrell Suggs, Troy Polamalu and James Harrison.

The Post-Gazette’s Jason Mackey was also in Baltimore and talked to people in the parking lots before the game.

He spoke with two Ravens fans that expressed their respect for #7.

The Steelers/Ravens rivalry may not be the same as it used to be, but when it comes down to it, it’s always been about respect.
