Weddings in the Pittsburgh area are putting the Denver Broncos at a slight disadvantage heading into Sunday’s game at Heinz Field against the Steelers.

Broncos head coach Vic Fangio tells 9NEWS in Denver that his team won’t arrive in Pittsburgh until after 8 p.m. on Saturday night due to a large amount of Wedding/receptions being booked around town.

Fangio says with all the celebrations taking all of the ballroom and meeting rooms they are unable to hold team meetings in Pittsburgh.

The Broncos will hold their meetings at their training facility earlier on Saturday before flying to Pittsburgh.

Due to the pandemic, many wedding celebrations were delayed and all of the rooms were booked well in advance of the NFL releasing their schedule back in early May.

Early fall is a popular time of year for weddings.

If the Broncos start slow on Sunday afternoon, you can thank the many happy newlyweds around Pittsburgh!
