Steeler Nation are collectively holding their breath after wide receiver Chase Claypool left practice on Tuesday with an apparent injury.

Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin says the second-year receiver is "being evaluated" after practice.

Claypool was helped off the field by quarterback Ben Roethlisberger and tight end Eric Ebron after The Fan's Jim Colony said he made a "nice catch."

NFL Network's Mike Garafolo reports the injury is not "significant."

ESPN's Adam Schefter reporters that it's a "minor ankle sprain."

But the Fan's Jeff Hathhorn says it appeared that Claypool was walking using both feet but was using Roethlisberger and Ebron for support.

The good news is a cart wasn't brought out to take Claypool off the field and to get back to the locker room, players must walk down some stairs. That could indicate that the trainers were confident enough that Claypool's injury wasn't too serious.

The Steelers play their first home game of the preseason this Saturday when the Detroit Lions come to town.
